NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE has added 20 wideband oxygen (lambda) sensors to its aftermarket range. In doing so, the ignition and sensor specialist has increased its oxygen sensors coverage to 73 percent of diesel applications and a market-leading 86 percent of petrol applications in Europe.

NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE is the world’s largest supplier of OE oxygen sensors, with every major car maker trusting in the company’s sensor brand NTK Vehicle Electronics. As a result, NGK is able to offer the aftermarket exceptional expertise and a range that is always current, thanks to frequent updates.

Just as wideband oxygen sensors have become increasingly popular original equipment in both petrol and diesel cars in order to comply with ever-stricter emissions regulations, aftermarket demand for the sensors is also growing. In response, NGK SPARK PLUG has now made 20 further wideband oxygen sensors available to distributors and workshops. The new sensors are ideal replacements for cars from 35 manufacturers, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Skoda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.

David Loy, Marketing Director Aftermarket EMEA at NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE said: “These new wideband oxygen sensors are a welcome addition because they bring so much extra choice for distributors and workshops. As well as accessing extra diesel references, customers can count on NTK Vehicle Electronics as a leader for petrol applications. NTK has very much become the most indispensable oxygen sensor brand.”

In selecting the new additions to the range, NGK SPARK PLUG focused on applications that are especially popular in the market. For example, NTK sensor stock no. 90392 (part no. UAR9000-EE003) covers more than 1,000 VW-Group vehicle applications. In total the 20 new wideband sensors offer replacement for those fitted as OE on more than 4,500 vehicle applications – representing more than 50 million cars on Europe’s roads. All the new oxygen sensors and applications are available immediately and are listed on TecDoc electronic catalogues.

The continually expanding NTK Vehicle Electronics brand offers the aftermarket a one-stop shop for quality replacement sensors, and is the market leader in diagnostic and regulating sensors. As well as oxygen sensors, NTK’s product portfolio includes MAP/MAF sensors, exhaust gas temperature and NOx sensors.
