A new line of precious metal spark plugs from world-leading ignition and sensor provider NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE is offering Aftermarket customers a high performance, attractively priced upgrade opportunity from standard plug types.

G-Power – a new range of 13 platinum spark plugs developed especially for the Aftermarket – is designed to meet distributor and workshop demand for a more powerful, high quality alternative for cars currently fitted with  standard nickel spark plugs.

Every G-Power reference covers a number of standard spark plugs, making the range easy to specify and to stock. Together the 13 new plugs cover 84 standard spark plugs, delivering increased performance and quality for 70 car brands and more than 3,500 models – representing millions of cars on the road.

The introduction marks a further expansion to NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE’s ‘special selection’ spark plug portfolio, which already includes Laser Platinum/Iridium, LPG Laser Line, Iridium IX and NGK Racing ranges.

The company is introducing G-Power spark plugs across Europe in a phased roll-out programme. Previously available in the Middle East, and successfully extended to Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Armenia from earlier this year, the range is expected to be made available to many other European countries within the next 3-6 months.

The upgrade potential, superior performance, long life and extensive car parc coverage of G-Power plugs has already made them popular wherever launched. In Russia alone, the 13 plug references cover an impressive car park of ca.12 million cars.

David Loy, Vice President Aftermarket EMEA at NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE, confirms: “As signaled by our pre-launch market analysis across the EU region, there has been a terrific response to G-Power so far. These plugs are perfect for all distributors who want to complete their product portfolio with a well-priced, high quality precious metal upgrade to standard types. It’s the ideal way to enable even more drivers to benefit from a quicker start, improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions and all-round better ignition performance.”

The launch of G-Power follows a number of other recent range developments announced by NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE under its NGK Ignition parts and NTK Vehicle Electronics brands – underlining the company’s ignition and vehicle electronics leadership across the automotive, motorcycle, marine and power tool markets. News since June 2018 has included additional spark plug cap references, the launch of the market’s most extensive engine speed and position sensors range, new oxygen sensor introductions and a harmonised EGTS selection.

G-Power spark plugs are being introduced in further countries in the coming months – speak to your NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE representative for details.
