Addition of 32 new EGR valves to NTK´s range marks major boost to market coverage

NTK Vehicle Electronics, the globally trusted provider of OE equivalent sensors and valves for the automotive Aftermarket, is pleased to announce a major expansion of its exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve lineup with the addition of 32 new state-of-the-art components. The global supplier of premium sensors and valves has released the products in a two-part range extension to help customers meet stringent new EU emissions targets.

The combined items will cover a car park of more than 22.8 million vehicles in 2025 and cement the NTK brand’s position as a front-line manufacturer of this key engine part. Between now and 2027, this will give NTK brand an overall coverage increase of 9% and a potential Pan-European car parc coverage of 54%. The additional 32 references form part of a wider 3-year phased introduction of Aftermarket EGR valves at the NTK brand. To date, there are already 185 items in the line-up. The company is currently in the final phase of this rollout with a focus on consolidating the range and identifying new stock keeping units (SKUs).

Of the launch containing 11 parts, the new references in this release target applications for key legacy automakers including Volkswagen Group, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Renault Group. Of these, EGPO-N187 covers the popular Skoda Octavia, while EGP3-V190 is available for the well-known Ford Transit van and EGE5-A207 is suitable for the Nissan Qashqai and Dacia Duster top sellers. Collectively, the 11 new references will cover a car parc of more than 11.9 million vehicles in 2025 and increase overall coverage by 4%, which makes the company ranking among the top 6 EGR suppliers.

The 21 references offer one SKU among top 10 selling items and 3 SKUs among the top 65 selling components, according to 2024 sales data from DVSE, Polytecnico & Factor. Applications for light commercial vehicles include the Mercedes-Benz Vito (EGE5-V183), Renault Traffic III (EGE5-V183), Nissan NV300 (EGE5-V183) and Fiat Doblo (EGE5-D202). Other parts cover premium car models including the Audi A3 (EGE5-D182), the BMW 3 Series (EGP0-N191), and the popular Mercedes-Benz C-Class series (EGE5-V183). These additional 21 references amount to a car parc of 10.9 million vehicles and will increase coverage by 5% to reach 50% of total Pan-European coverage.

The EGR valve is central to a vehicle’s emissions system and operates by reducing an engine’s peak combustion temperature and thus its production of polluting nitrogen oxide (NOx) gases. In this way, the valves are critical to helping automakers hit ever-more stringent EU emissions standards. The components were first used in Europe in the 1990s in order to meet Euro 1 emission goals. They are fitted in all currently manufactured diesel cars, but only in about a third of petrol cars.

“This extension to NTK Vehicle Electronics brand’s EGR line up demonstrates once again our ongoing commitment to offering the highest standards of quality in engine components. In addition to giving a major boost to our Aftermarket distributors, it also underlines our ongoing quest to contribute to reduced emissions, while also satisfying the demands of our customers,”

says Frank Massia, Director Marketing Aftermarket EMEA at Niterra EMEA GmbH.

In keeping with Niterra’s stringent quality controls, these new EGR valves have been subject to exhaustive testing and consequently meet tough EC Euro norms through their superb OE-matching emission performance.

New references, OE and applications data for the 21 EGR valves have been available in the TecDoc Web Catalogue from 6 August 2025 onwards. The corresponding information for the remaining 11 items has been accessible since 3 September 2025. The new parts will also be included in the next edition of the NTK brand’s printed catalogues.
