NTK Vehicle Electronics expands oxygen sensor range with 52 new applications

Niterra’s NTK Vehicle Electronics brand, a trusted supplier of OE-equivalent sensors and valves for the global automotive Aftermarket, is delighted to announce a significant expansion in its market-topping oxygen sensor range with the addition of 52 state-of-the-art components. The new items mark a substantial boost in NTK’s already extensive Aftermarket line-up and bolster the brand’s reputation as the first stop for high-quality parts. The new O2 sensors will include both wideband and switching sensors.

Niterra is a major supplier of OE oxygen sensors and a leading player in Aftermarket sales for such parts. These components constitute one of the seven product lines within the NTK Vehicle Electronics brand (together with nitrogen oxide sensors). This part is crucial in regulating the combustion engine’s optimal air-fuel mixture (lambda) to ensure the best possible combustion and enable the vehicle’s catalytic converter to operate at its most efficient level. It does this by passing information on oxygen levels to the engine control unit, which makes the necessary adjustments to the air–fuel mixture. As the European Union introduces increasingly stringent emissions requirements, engine components such as the O2 sensor ensure that combustion-engine vehicles can meet these targets through more efficient powertrains.

So far this year, Niterra has launched 36 new O2 sensors. A further 16 new references were released on 29 October, of which six have the distinction of being first-to-market items and will cover a car parc of more than nine million vehicles in 2025 alone. Overall, these 52 new references will expand NTK’s reach by 30 million Vehicles in Operation (VIO) in Pan Europe, increasing market coverage by approximately 4% from its current level of 70%. Together they contribute to an extensive overall range of parts that cater for many popular vehicles from legacy automakers, including Volkswagen Group’s Škoda Citigo, SEAT’s Mii, and VW’s up! minicars, the Jeep Renegade SUV, the small Fiat 500X, and the Renault Captur and Nissan Juke crossovers.

In addition, Niterra has also carried out a comprehensive update of its existing references. More than 250 part numbers have been reviewed and provided with new links. The additional vehicle applications have a VIO of around 20 million.

“With the latest launch of 52 new components, we will be able to extend our lead in the growing Aftermarket with one of the highest levels of market coverage for any premium manufacturer in this sector. Not only does this mean stronger sales opportunities for Niterra, but it also underlines our commitment to providing top quality Aftermarket components to our sales partners, and ultimately, to our end customers,” Frank Massia, Director Marketing Aftermarket EMEA at Niterra EMEA GmbH, said.

As a company, Niterra continually strives to make its engine parts more efficient, thereby ensuring that they contribute to a broader reduction in emissions. Sustainability is at the heart of the company’s research, development and design activities, and there is an overarching commitment to achieving the highest quality possible.

The 52 new NTK references can now be found in TecDoc, along with the other applications from the brand’s O2 sensor range. All the articles will be available from Niterra’s Duisburg warehouse in Germany.
