NGK has a long motorcycle heritage with its spark plugs being chosen by two-wheel road bike enthusiasts and in the motorcycling racing arena where they have helped the World’s top teams and riders to numerous victories.
A number of motorcycle stars visited the NEC Birmingham show including TT legend and NGK ambassador John McGuinness MBE who was a special guest on the Niterra stand which had three of his bikes on display alongside three machines owned by the NGK-sponsored Team GB Speedway stars Tai Woffinden, Dan Bewley and Robert Lambert.
And McGuinness, who has won a staggering 23 times at the Isle of Man TT, was not alone on day one of the show as he was joined by TV’s Bake Off star Paul Hollywood.
Becca Knight, Marketing Manager of Niterra UK Ltd, owner of the NGK and NTK vehicle electronic brands, said: “It is always a privilege to exhibit at Motorcycle Live and meet up with bike enthusiasts, many of whose road machines are fitted with NGK spark plugs.
“Once again we had a fantastic collection of motorcycles on display which drew plenty of interest from visitors who were also keen to learn more about our parts and take away our latest applications catalogue.”
Staff were also on hand to sell a selection of NGK and other branded items to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support during the show which ends on Sunday, November 26.
NGK is the world’s number one original equipment (OE) fitment and its Iridium IX spark plugs are popular with motorcyclists for their ability to provide enhanced ignition efficiency, better acceleration, faster starting and smoother running, longer life, and better fuel consumption.
