The nine units, eight of which have been recently launched, with three of them being first to market, represent the very highest company standards for superb ignition reliability and high resistance to wear.
Aside from one part, the new entries are all double precious metal spark plugs and are predicted to swell the company’s already dominant Aftermarket car parc range by 32% to 9.98 million by 2025.
“These nine new components are proof, once again, of our commitment to extend the Aftermarket sales potential for our customers and in doing so, reach more of the most popular vehicles on the road with our state-of-the-art 4-wheel spark plugs,” said Frank Massia, Director Marketing Aftermarket EMEA at Niterra EMEA GmbH.
The models DILKAR7Q8, ILNFR9B7G, ILZKGR7B8G and DILZKAR7C11H, complement the company’s strong double precious metal offerings. The reference ILZKGR7B8G covers a wide range of vehicles from Stellantis, the world’s fourth biggest automaker by sales. These include the Opel/Vauxhall Astra L, the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa F and the key Peugeot 208 and 308 models. The reference ILNFR9B7G is used in the popular Astra K, while the references DILZKAR7C11H and DILKAR7Q8 are used in Honda and Subaru models respectively.
Reference DF5B-8A is a single precious metal spark plug for 2.5-litre hybrid models from Toyota and its luxury brand Lexus, including the popular Toyota RAV 4.
Following this, the double precious metal offerings of ILTR6M9G and ILZKBR8D7G were added. The former delivers a high-performance Aftermarket solution for 2.0-litre engines fitted to Opel/Vauxhall’s midsize Insignia models, while the latter serves popular Stellantis models such as the Peugeot 308 1.6 Hybrid 225 and the DS4 1.6 PureTech 180.
The double precious metal SIZKBR8B8HG reference, just added a few weeks ago, is widely used by Stellantis and BMW’s M performance unit, including in its iconic M3 and M5 sports cars.
On 27 June 2023, Niterra launched the last of this lineup, the reference ILKFR7A8, a first to market double precious metal spark plug that will service Stellantis models such as the rugged Jeep compass, the Alfa Romeo Tonale and the Fiat 500X crossover.
The spark plugs are part of Niterra’s Laser Iridium range, which has at its heart a laser-welded iridium alloy on the centre electrode and, in most cases, a platinum chip on the ground electrode. This ensures optimal performance over a long lifetime, with features including stable idle, superior anti fouling, improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
These latest entries to the company’s spark plug lineup will help strengthen its position as the global Aftermarket leader, with 89% coverage of vehicles in operation in Europe alone. These additions demonstrate once again why Niterra is trusted as the No. 1 manufacturer globally for ignition technologies.
Some of the new products are already listed in TecDoc and the rest will be included on 09 August 2023. All spark plugs will be added to the company’s 4-wheel spark plug catalogue.
