Founded in 1936 as a manufacturer of spark plugs, the company's core competence has always been the automotive field. Today, the Automotive Components business has expanded to become the world’s number one global manufacturer of OE and Aftermarket ignition and vehicle electronics parts.
Representing around 82% of the business activities, it is also the largest of the company’s businesses, covering the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the Original Equipment Supply (OES) business. It supplies almost all of the well-known OE manufacturers, as well as the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) for a variety of applications.

Niterra, the specialist for ignition and vehicle electronics, has added four more precious metal spark plugs to its extensive range of high-quality NGK spark plugs for the aftermarket. Three of these are double precious metal spark plugs, which offer the highest quality level of a laser-iridium product and promise outstanding ignition reliability, high wear resistance and optimum ignition performance. In addition, a single precious metal unit has been added to the product range. This Iridium IX reference improves the ignition performance compared to the standard nickel spark plug.

Ignition and vehicle electronics specialist Niterra is pleased to announce the addition of 53 new exhaust gas recirculation valves under its NTK Vehicle Electronics brand. The new references cover an additional vehicle population of approximately 1.2 million vehicles. The new products double the number of current part numbers. In addition, five of these new EGR valves are equipped with a cooler.
