Three riders made the semi-finals with Russian Emil Sayfutdinov totalling 12 points from his five qualifying rides before finishing third in the second semi-final ahead of NGK stablemate Robert Lambert to take him to seventh place in the 2019 championship on 19 points.
Triple and current World champion Tai Woffinden improved on his form in Slovenia scoring nine points to reach the first semi-final and move up to eighth in the standings with 15 points, level with British compatriot Lambert.
Fellow NGK-sponsored riders Jason Doyle and Matej Zagar both scored six points at the Grand Prix which was won by Poland’s Bartosz Zmarzlik.
NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said: “It was great to see Emil and Tai return to form in Slovenia and another exciting performance by Robert. They should all be in confident mood for the Czech Grand Prix in Prague next weekend (June 15).”
