NGK-sponsored Speedway stars in the fight for 2020 World Championship

NGK-sponsored Speedway riders are still in the fight for the 2020 FIM World Speedway Championship title after enjoying a successful weekend in the Czech Republic.

Three-time World Champion Tai Woffinden took second place in both rounds five and six of the Grand Prix series in Prague while Swede Freddie Lindgren and Russian Emil Sayfutdinov both earned a fourth place position in the two round finals at the Marketa Stadium.

Briton Woffinden now sits in third position in the championship on 89 points, just behind Lindgren who is in second place on 92 points, just seven points behind leader and current World champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, who won both Czech rounds.

Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd is a long-time supporter of Speedway with the SGP riders’ bikes being fitted with the company’s spark plugs.
