slashesNGK-backed Maria Costello goes for a double take on the famous Goodwood hill climb

NGK-sponsored Maria Costello MBE is all set for the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed where she will take on the iconic hill climb on two machines.

Fresh from making history by becoming the first female racer to compete in both the sidecar and Lightweight TT races on the same day at the Isle of Man TT she is to take both a motorcycle and sidecar up the hill at the meeting which takes place on July 4-7.

She said: “I’ve been invited to take both my sidecar and the Paton up the hill (not at the same time) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, can’t wait!”

Ignition specialist NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd is a long-time supporter of Maria, known as ‘the Queen of the Bikers’.

Mark Hallam, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Marketing Manager, said: “It will be great for Maria’s fans to see her in action at Goodwood this year and I’m sure she will receive a lot of support when she takes to the hill.”

NGK has a long and highly successful association with all forms of motorsport where its spark plugs have helped the world’s leading teams and competitors to countless victories and titles.
