RIP Davy Morgan

Ignition and sensor specialist NGK has paid tribute to motorcycle rider Davy Morgan following news of his death in a crash during the Supersport race at the Isle of Man TT.

The company was a long-term sponsor of the Northern Ireland rider who crashed at the 27th milestone on the third and final lap of Monday morning's event; the third competitor to lose his life at this year's TT.

A statement issued by the race organisers said it was "with a heavy heart" that they confirmed the 52-year-old’s death.

"The Isle of Man TT Races pass on their deepest sympathy to Davy's partner Trudy, his family, loved ones, and friends," said the statement.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: “We would like to pay tribute to Davy who tragically lost his life while participating in the sport he loved. I would like to send condolences from everyone at NGK to his family and friends.”
