The extensive Aftermarket car parc range of NGK SPARK PLUG is expanding even further with the release of six new ignition heroes, covering a car parc of over 670,000 vehicles by 2023. Each of the standard and double precious metal spark plugs follow the OE business of the ignition and sensor specialist, delivering the company’s renowned quality and performance.

The new spark plugs are specifically designed to cover many high-volume vehicle models by Honda, Ford, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Subaru.

Five of the new references – DILZKAR7B11, DILZKR7A11G, DIFFR5E11, DILKAR7G11GS and ILZKR6F11 – are new arrivals to the company’s Laser Iridium range, equipped with the precious metals iridium and platinum to guarantee superior ignitability as well as highest resistance against wear.
The reference LTR6A-10 is a new inclusion to the company’s standard Yellow Box Line.

With the reference DILZKAR7B11, NGK SPARK PLUG is providing a first-to-market, double precious metal spark plug that is tailormade for recent Subaru applications such as the Impreza 1.6 and the XV 1.6. Reference DILKAR7G11GS fits the Honda CR-V4 2.4 iVtec and the CR-V5 2.4 iVtec, while reference DILZKR7A11G, matches with the Honda Pilot 3.5. In addition, the reference LTR6A-10 is a perfect Aftermarket replacement for the Ford Ecosport 1.5 Ti-VCT.

The new references already cover a significant portion of the car parc, fitting more than 476,000 vehicles in 2021. This number, however, will grow exponentially in the following years, increasing to more than 670,000 vehicles in 2023. The sales potential for NGK SPARK PLUG customers will also continue to grow, as the car parc covered by the new spark plugs is set to expand by more 40% within the next two years.

Xavier Pesca, Director Global PIMs & Head of Category Management EMEA Aftermarket at NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE confirmed: “We are dedicated to manufacturing the ideal spark plug for every vehicle. The addition of six new ignition heroes further strengthens our already extensive Aftermarket range.”
