ProPoints: NGK SPARK PLUG, HELLA and ZF introduce joint customer loyalty programme

NGK SPARK PLUG, the world’s leading ignition and sensor specialist, is excited to announce its participation in a joint customer loyalty programme called “proPoints”. In collaboration with the companies HELLA and ZF, independent garages in Germany and Austria can now benefit even more when purchasing Aftermarket products from these three companies and their corresponding brands.

Combined, the three companies provide workshops with a considerable supplies coverage of 63%. This joint loyalty programme gives proPoints participants the opportunity to collect bonus points when purchasing from the following premium brands: NGK Ignition Parts, NTK Vehicle Electronics, HELLA, Hella Pagid, ZF, LEMFÖRDER, SACHS and TRW. These points can then be exchanged for high quality consumer goods in a variety of categories which range from tools, sport equipment and consumer electronics to health and beauty.

Garage partners, moreover, can also take part in “proPoints macs”. This additional offer allows them to increase their competitiveness by being able to refinance the latest high-end diagnostic solutions, testing and adjustment tools from Hella Gutmann. Once an interested garage has decided on a tool from the leasing offer, the selected distribution partner agrees with the garage on an additional sales target for products from HELLA, NGK SPARK PLUG and ZF over a five-year period. The leased equipment is then delivered to the workshop immediately. Once the agreed target turnovers have been achieved, the leasing rate will be refunded 100%. This gives NGK SPARK PLUG a new opportunity for cross selling with a programme that is attractive for every garage.

Taking part in proPoints is very easy. 7,400 workshops from Germany and 330 from Austria have already signed up to the programme and are now benefitting from its fantastic offers. All garages have to do is register at They then start collecting 25 points for every 100 euros spent at participating distributors, who credit the corresponding points to their accounts. Registration is completely free and non-binding.

“We are proud that we can offer our workshop customers an up to date and digitalised loyalty programme through this unique collaboration”, says Marc Kuntzsch, Director Central Europe Aftermarket EMEA at NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE GmbH. “By exchanging bonus points for high quality rewards, technical training, as well as the possibility of refinancing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, we are also boosting the ability of workshops to adapt to future mobility developments”, he says.

The new digital and wide-ranging proPoints will replace the previous NGK SPARK PLUG “Dangke” programme in Germany and Austria. Switching over to proPoints is a simple procedure, that takes customer loyalty to the next level. It provides participants with improved performance over the previous programme, which involved workshops having to collect and return empty product boxes. Existing “Dangke” participants have been informed accordingly about the process involved in transferring their points to proPoints, as well as the many new benefits they will receive.
