Based in Ratingen, Germany, Massia takes over the role from David Loy, who had held this position for five years and was promoted to Vice President Aftermarket EMEA last autumn.
In his new role, Massia will be responsible for the company’s Aftermarket category management, pricing and value management, marketing communications, technical services and business intelligence. He will also use his extensive past experience to drive and accelerate the continued digital transformation of NGK SPARK PLUG – a key marketing strategy initiated by Loy which has already included a pioneering on-line technical platform, TekniWiki, and a fully integrated, highly successful social media programme.

Prior to joining NGK SPARK PLUG EUROPE, Massia has held numerous marketing and sales positions at executive level for diverse leading companies, amongst which Henkel AG, Villeroy & Boch AG and Altana AG. Massia studied business administration at the University of Cologne, the Indiana University MBA program of Kelley School of Business and the University of Pforzheim where he earned his degree in 1993.
