Video tutorial from NGK Spark Plug Europe outlines installation of ignition coil systems

slashes Press release from 05/11/2016

Ratingen, 11.05.2016 – NGK Spark Plug Europe, a leading specialist in ignition and sensor technology, has made a new video tutorial available. The step-by-step instructions on the company’s YouTube channel are easy to follow and guide workshop personnel through the entire servicing process of an ignition coil system.

Ignition coil systems (also referred to as ignition coil rails) combine several ignition coils in just one unit, allowing for faster removal and replacement of the coils. However, the correct installation of such ignition coil systems is vital for flawless functioning and a long lifetime. Certain steps require particular tools like pullers or a torque wrench to ensure that the ignition coil is neither bent nor damaged and that it sits well in its docking slot.

To raise awareness of the issue and provide practical help to workshops, ignition and sensor specialist NGK Spark Plug Europe has made a new video tutorial available on the company’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/ngksparkplugeurope. It shows the entire procedure using the example of an ignition coil rail for an Opel Ecotec engine (NGK ignition coil type U6001). The clip is available in a number of languages.

As well as this particular video, NGK Spark Plug Europe’s channel hosts a wide range of clips, covering the topics of maintenance, products and motor sports.
