NGK Spark Plug Europe celebrates 25 years of V-Line

In 1991, NGK Spark Plug Europe introduced V-Line. Throughout the years, the spark plug assortment for the Aftermarket has lost nothing of its attractiveness for distributors and workshops. V-Line is the most successful spark plug assortment on the market.

 

With V-Line, NGK Spark Plug Europe invented an approach which was quite revolutionary at the time. The goal was to offer the market a fast-moving line-up which combined high market coverage with manageability and proven quality from a leading supplier to the OEMs. 
V-Line was a success from the very start. In the past 25 years, NGK has shipped well over 300 million spark plugs from the assortment. Today’s range comprises 45 spark plug types, 36 of which were originally developed for Original Equipment. It includes precious metal spark plugs, semi-surface spark plugs or spark plugs with more than one ground electrode or a V-grove in the centre electrode. It achieves market coverage of more than 90 percent and its original short numbering system allows distributors and workshops to quickly identify the perfect spark plug for any application and better manage their stock.
